R6: SENDA DE PESCADORES

It is an easy and funny path. Most of it runs along side the Garganta de Santa María.

We recommend doing the circular route, starting with the ascent to La Puente del Puerto along the PR-AV 46.

We will pass by the famous Fuente del Sauce, where we will supply ourselves with water. From the fountain, the descent begins until we reach the Garganta de Santa María, which we follow until we reach La Puente del Puerto.

After passing La Puente del Puerto, after about 100 m, we will take the deflection towards the Pescadores path. From here it will be fun, as it has several rope crossings and a bridge over the Arroyo de Castañarejo.

The whole route passes through pine and oak woods, although the most remarkable species is the Prunus Lusitanica.

It has two main fountains:

Fuente del Sauce: Located 3 km from the start.

Fuente Fría: Located 11,8 km from the start.
